Direct deposits, adding money, and how long you can transfer money out.
What should I do if I receive direct deposits into my Modak account?
If you receive payroll, government benefits, or any other direct deposit into your Modak account, please update your direct deposit information with another financial institution as soon as possible.
Incoming ACH deposits, including direct deposits, will no longer be accepted after November 30, 2026.
Do not wait until your account closes to update your direct deposit instructions.
When can I no longer add money to my Modak account?
You will no longer be able to add or fund your Modak account after October 16, 2026.
We encourage you to stop adding new money to Modak and begin moving your existing balance to another financial institution now.
How long can I transfer money out of Modak?
You can transfer available funds to an eligible connected external bank account through December 15, 2026.
After that date, self-service transfers may no longer be available.
If you still have money in your Modak account after self-service transfers have ended, we will provide information about how your remaining balance will be returned.
